Two decades in the seat

JMB was founded by Jane Brescia after 20 years spent as a controller watching good businesses lose time to messy books and clunky systems. We built a firm that does both halves of the job: accurate accounting and the consulting needed to restructure, streamline and document how a business runs.

The people behind the numbers

Jane Brescia — CEO and Founder

Jane has spent 30 years in bookkeeping and accounting, helping business owners turn scattered records into clear, reliable financials. She founded JMB to give growing companies what she saw many of them missing: accurate books paired with practical guidance on how to run a leaner, better-organized business. Jane leads the firm’s restructuring and fractional CFO engagements and works directly with owners to set targets and track results.

Angie Mocha — Accounting Specialist

Angie brings 20 years of accounting experience in hospitality and job cost accounting. She knows how to track costs by job, event or location so owners can see exactly which work is profitable, a skill that serves our clients in hospitality, restaurants, construction, and meeting planning and exhibits. Angie manages full-charge bookkeeping, clean-ups and QuickBooks Online setups, making sure every month closes accurately and on time.

We work with a trusted partner and liaison for tax preparation. Because your books are already clean and current with us, we hand them, organized records at tax time, and we coordinate with them throughout the year so tax planning lines up with your business strategy.
